HOW LITERATURE SHAPES THE FUTURE

The early Filipinos wrote on clay, barks of trees, leaves, and bamboo tubes, using knives and other pointed instruments for pens, and the sap of certain trees and sooth for ink. Thus, when the Spaniards arrived,a substanial body of writing already existed in the archipelago. But some of this early Filipino writings was destroyed by the early missionaries and none of this ancient writings has survived to this day. As years passed by,literature served as a path for the Filipinos who are betrayed by the Spanish Colonization. The writings of our heroes awaken us and lifted us from the 'trap'. Literature has a big part during the ancient and Spanish times..The ancient Philippine literature lead us to facts about the tradition and beliefs of ancient Filipinos.
Today we've enjoyed and appreciate literature through the writings of some writers, bec. it made us realize how we should deal to life. There are different forms of literature such as riddles, proverbs, folk narratives, epics, saying and songs.. Today literatures can be use, play and learn.. How about in the future? Does literature shapes the future?
Literature could pass through generations, some of the past literary works would not be remembered anymore..but there are still. Literature is part of our daily living, and even the simple process of writing, could be said that it is a literary work. The condition of our times today could be written by a writer, and maybe in the future the writings about our time may be pass into future..and it will serve as a lesson and reality to everyone. Likewise the ancient literature to our time and literature from our time to future, everything has an importance. And we could say that Literature can be an another way to shape the future. Remember, every literary works has its own messages, sometimes its up to us how we interpret it. And literature don't change,if literature mold the ancient ,the present of course, it can mold the future at its best. :))
